She brings a clinician’s perspective to healthcare experiences, programs, and educational frameworks, with particular interest in models that move beyond fragmented care toward a more integrated understanding of the person.

This work is distinct from individual patient care.

03 / A PERSPECTIVE ON PRACTICE

A wider lens on health.

What becomes possible when we understand the person more completely?

Lauren brings a multidimensional perspective to clinical practice: understanding physiology alongside the conditions and experiences of a person’s life.

Physiology remains central. But physiology is continually shaped by context: environment, behavior, relationships, emotional experience, identity, meaning, purpose, and the conditions of everyday life.

This perspective informs how she listens, interprets patterns, and considers what care needs to support for the individual.

Her teaching invites clinicians to consider these relationships with curiosity and clinical discernment, while distinguishing established evidence from areas that remain uncertain.

Lauren also explores these ideas through lectures and professional conversations about whole-person care and what health makes possible.

04 / HUMAN CAPACITY

Health as a foundation for what becomes possible.

Much of healthcare is appropriately focused on reducing disease, preventing complications, and extending life. Lauren is also interested in what health makes possible beyond those outcomes.

Greater physiologic stability can create more capacity for attention, creativity, movement, relationship, meaningful work, contribution, adaptability, and presence.

This perspective expands the conversation around why clinical outcomes matter: function, capacity, resilience, and a person’s ability to participate more fully in life.
